Union Automatic Revolver $5500

Here we have a Union Automatic Revolver. This is an extremely rare Autorevolver made by Union Fire Arms Co of Toledo Ohio. The design was patented by Charles Lefever. It is similar to the Webley-Fosbery and that it is top break and uses a zig zag cylinder. This example is number 117 of approximately 300 made. Interestingly, the manufacturer's markings on the side plate appear to have been stamped too far to the left and are partially cut off.

It is in in good condition overall with a variety of light scratches and a bit of flaking of the nickel plating. The cylinder and other working surfaces are a bit more heavily worn than the rest of the gun. There is a small chip missing from the top of the right grip.

The trigger and action appear to function properly but are occasionally a bit sticky. Most likely just needs a good cleaning. The extractor has a small problem. As it is, the gun can be set up so that either the extractor will not move or it will extract but not snap down. This can quite easily be fixed as the problem is a small part sheet metal piece. A replacement part could easily be made by anyone with a file and a bit of patience.
