Spencer Repeating Shotgun $500

Here we have an antique Spencer Repeating Shotgun, more specifically a model 1896 made by Bannerman. It is 12 gauge with a 32" barrel. The model 1896 was made between 1895 and 1898 with production of approximately 6,000 numbering up to around 18,000. This example is 14,422 so likely made during 1886. The gun has a couple problems and is being sold as a gunsmith special.

The problems are

1. Lower portion of the trigger is broken off. The trigger is still usable as is.

2. Stock cracked at risk on both sides, appears it likely was repaired at some point, but the right side is becoming loose.

Gun is in poor condition overall. Metal is a patina with speckled surface corrosion. Stock is worn. The forend is in relatively good condition with some handling marks. Mechanically, everything appears fine although a good cleaning would probably be helpful. The borr shows moderate pitting.
