Savage 99 Takedown 300 Sav $600

Here we have a Savage model 99 takedown in .300 Savage. Barrel measures 24". The rear sight has been removed and a tang mounted peep sight has been installed.

The metal shows some light surface rust on most of the sides and bottom of the receiver, as well as the barrel. The stock shows a small crack at the upper tang and another one near the toe. The forend looks solid. Action appears to function properly. The bore is partly bright but shows some pitting and dirt, as well as a dark streak along one side. The bore would probably be much improved by a thorough cleaning, the outside could probably use it also.
