M1 Garand Sporter .30-06 $1100

Here we have a very interesting sporterized M1 Garand in .30-06. I have no information about the history of this rifle but was almost certainly not built recently. The gas system has been shortened, a Lyman hooded front sight has been installed, it has been blued and they made a sporter style stock for it. It has a slip-on recoil pad that has been fitted around the cheek piece and rear slings swivel, this was almost certainly done much later. The metal is excellent with only some minor blemishes in the finish. These stock shows a variety of small marks. There is a small crack in the upper handguard. It appears to be properly functional. The bore looks near perfect.
